Students And Politics

Opinions differ on the issue whether students should be allowed to take part in politics or not. In my view politics should not be a forbidden fruit for students,and to a certain limit,students should have liberty to take part in politics.

Politics deals with the affairs of the country-its contribution and foreign policy. Some students should have sufficient knowledge of the constitutions, its politics its foreign relations and so on. As a citizen every young man is naturally interested in these matters. With the development of literacy in the country even street boys read newspapers, and comments on the events going on in the country. Of course, their views regarding politics are very superficial, but their interest in politics is there.

Some people believe that,as politics is a fishy game and spoils the career of young people, our students should keep themselves away from politics.

Today men's life is very complicated and it is wrong to think that any citizen may remain disinterested from the political life of the country. It so, how is it possible to keep our students, the cream of the nation.away from politics? No doubt, there is a danger that students may be misguided, and consequently, become a tool in the hands of one political party or the other. But we should guard this danger.What we need to do is to give our students the right type of training any guidance so that when they enter the practical life they may be able to face the political problems of the country in a better way.
